There will be four Wattle based quizzes throughout the semester.
Week 3 - first quiz (covering all material from weeks 1 and 2)
Week 5 - second quiz (covering all material from weeks 3 and 4)
Week 9 - third quiz (covering all material from weeks 5, 6, 7, and 8)
Week 12 - fourth quiz (covering all material from weeks 9, 10, and 11)
The quizzes are offered through the Wattle Class Site. The format of the quizzes is mostly multiple choice and true/false type questions.
Each quiz will be available from 9:00am on the Wednesday of the corresponding week until 6:00pm on the Thursday of the corresponding week. During this 33 hour time window you can attempt the quiz once, and you have 60 minutes to complete it.
The Wattle quiz facility will shut down at 3:00pm sharp on the Thursday of the corresponding week, irrespective of the 60 minute time window for completion. This means, for example, that if you start the quiz at 5.30pm on Thursday, you will only have 30 minutes to complete it.
Therefore it makes sense to attempt the quiz no later than 5:00pm on the Thursday of the corresponding week.
More information will be offered during weeks 1 and 2 of the semester (with timely reminders throughout the semester).
If you miss a quiz without an approved reason a mark of zero will be given.
If you miss a quiz with an approved reason (for example, due to documented sickness) the final exam will be scaled up commensurately. (That is, the final exam will effectively make up for the missed quiz.)
